[maka, dressed up as a witch and flying on a scythe, she goes over to 3-29 and curiously peeks in at all the decorations.]

Cool...

[ Shiro left his room to retrieve his mail, surprised to see he had some trick-or-treaters! ]

No tricks just yet! [ He'll announce while entering his room, placing his mail upon the desk inside. It's a very small room, the basic of the basics. He did what he could! ]

Neat, huh?! I found better decorations than what I could get back home! [ Of course, he's happy to pick up the bowl of candy he'd prepared ahead of time. ]

Why thank you! I see you've made quite a nice costume. [ Here, he's gathering up a handful of candies. ]

You seem like an expert! Did you celebrate this holiday back home?

Totally! Halloween was the most important holiday where I lived. We had a bunch of activities and we wore different costumes throughout the month.

Through the whole month?! Wow. People would decorate the town square and shopping malls, but that's about it. We'd have harvest decorations on the monastery grounds, [ He shrugged, ] But that's about it!

Really? That's a little sad. It's a lot more fun to celebrate it for a month than just a day.

I'm sure! Especially since we have a wide variety of sweets!

Have you tried one of the sweets? -- Some seem a bit... odd.

Odd? [ Well, now Shiro's concerned. In the 'daddy' sort of way. ] How so?

Some have weird side-effects.
