[She shakes her head.]

It doesn't hurt very much now that it's stopped.

[She quickly realizes something.]

Do you think we'll be shocked if we don't stay here?

[He nodded slightly and released her hand before taking a small step back.]

I'll find out and let you know.

[Perhaps if he stayed there just a few hours things would be fine... He didn't even make the habit of sleeping often in his assigned room, why would he want to change that now?]

You're... going to leave?

[It's not that she's easily intimidate... okay, maybe she is. But she doesn't see the point of possibly subjecting herself to additional pain if just staying in the room will keep it from happening again. It's not like it's a stark jail cell after all.]

[Already half turned to leave, he glanced back at her. She sounded almost... worried. Why? They didn't know each other.]

... Yeah. Only way to know if we're trapped here or not.

[Because Shiemi will worry about just about anyone, especially if they show even a speck of concern for her.]

I suppose... Please, be careful.

[Where as he's only used to Midii caring about him.]

... Sure thing.

[He needs more people caring and looking after him.]

[He nodded. It made sense for only one of them to leave and find out, rather than both.]

[So off he went, cautious at first. Perhaps a delayed reaction, then?]

[Shiemi parks herself on the couch at first, to collect her brain a little. She's somehow gotten into a weird situation and it takes a few minutes before she gets everything sorted out enough to feel up to exploring the apartment.]

[He still didn't entirely understand how it could have happened, but it had and now they had to deal with it.]

[It was a few hours later that he returned, bringing back basic supplies in case she was hungry and felt like eating. Quite obviously they would be able to leave.]

[By the time he comes back, Shiemi has thoroughly explored the apartment, claimed one of the bedrooms as her own (the smallest one), and has busied herself with making sure the place is properly clean. In part because it's good to be clean, and in part to keep herself occupied so she wouldn't simply sit and fret over Nanashii. So when he walks back in she immediately drop her dust rag and hurries over to greet him.]

You're all right?

[He paused when he noticed just how clean the apartment had become, then looked to study her for a long moment. She hadn't needed to do that, he could have just as easily.]

[He walked to the kitchen, not immediately answering. He finally answered, though kept his back to her as he started putting everything away.]

Fine. I went to the opposite end of the ship, so distance has nothing to do with it.

[Her expression is one of relief.]

Thank goodness. We'll at least be able to go to work and school as usual. Er...

[Did he go to school she wonders. And then she realizes... she doesn't even know his name yet. He must think her so rude for not introducing herself!]

Oh my goodness! I haven't even told you my name! I'm Moriyama Shiemi!

[Not that he saw her expression. He heard it well enough, though.]

[Nope, no school for him, though he worked quite a bit. He paused in putting away one of the cans of food at the exclamation, then calmly finished as he answered.]

I don't have a name.
