Who: Spike Spiegel and all ye high school students What: Training and fighting When: Today onward Where: Training room Warnings: Mild violence, Spike being a troll, will add more if needed
Fighting? FIGHTING?! Is he serious? Sure, she wanted his care-free attitude, but she never thought she'd also get beaten up too! Dancer? Yes. Runner? Yes. Fighter?! Hell no! She was no Plumber!
...but she was also an A+ student who does not fail when it comes to her studies...
With a deep breath, Kai sucks it up and start stretching.
"You should learn how to relax, kid," Spike said to her as he saw her start stretching rather dutifully. He walked over to her with his hands still in his pockets. "Being all tense isn't going to help you in a fight."
Hearing his cool voice, she looks up at him and sighs. "True, but I never expected this. I honestly just expected you to sleep while everybody else fooled around in class."
"I wouldn't have gone through the trouble if I was gonna sleep." He sighs and shakes his head. "I don't wanna get fired and not have enough to get food, you know."
Heh...so he IS responsible. She's really starting to like him. "I see. Then consider me cooperative Mr. Spiegel." With her last stretch done, she stood straight up. "Is there anything you need to know before we get started?"
He's responsible if he wants to eat and sleep. Spike crosses his arms and his eyes slowly move in a half-circle as he thinks. "What's your name?" He's not about to train anyone who's not in the class. That's not part of the job.
She feels relieved about the no-mix-up, but quickly thinks over her brief history concerning fighting.
"Hmmmm...I have seen others fight, but I'm pretty much a novice at it. I am very agile though! I am a runner, a good dancer, and a cheerleader, so I am no stranger to pain."
She readies her self and looks over his body. She knows she will not land a hit on him, but it was still good to study the subject and try to avoid his best side. With taking an almost wild assumption that he probably didn't use his left, she quickly ran past him twice; once trying to get behind him, and another to bend slightly to try to kick his left leg while her right arm guards her body.
Spike danced around her as she moved behind him, but he barely managed to dodge the kick to his leg. For a moment he was caught off balance, but he regained it quickly by shifting his weight to the opposite foot and letting his body drop into place. "Wow, you're fast!"
'Man, he's good.', thought Kai as she jumped back a bit. Remembering his previous movements, he also proved to be very agile and fast as well. This was gonna be a challenge.
"Thank you! I can see that it goes both ways as well."
She soon remembers she hasn't shown him her jumping skills yet, so she decides to run away from him, all the while scanning the area. When she finally saw a sturdy brown box (which was fine enough. She knew that she wasn't gonna be able to jump on him and expect to hit him at the same time) she begins running a bit, starts to consecutively forward flip towards the box, jumps on the box, and then jumps off of it while forming her body into a tuck. In tuck mode, she picks up speed while rolling, and when she see's she's almost near his body, she untucks, twists her body a bit, and tries to give him a roundhouse kick in mid-air.
Holy crap! He drops to the floor, the kick a mere inches from his face. Unfortunately, he falls hard against the floor. That... really hurt. Spike flexes the muscles in his abdomen and jumps onto his feet. He stands light on the balls of his feet and his arm are up in a relaxed, semi-fighting stance."You're a lot better than I thought," he comments through grit teeth. "I have no idea what to teach you!"
"I'll let you in on a secret: All I know are cheerleading jumps and gymnastic bends. Everything else I've been improvising. I seriously don't know squat." She loosens up a bit and gets into her stance. "Your turn!"

"My name is Kai Green."

Spike stretches a bit, but it looks more like a stretch to relax than to work out. "So you know anything about fighting or is this the first time?"
