... Why am I here, again?

[He sighed, it was like trying to herd cats. Despite his persistence though he seemed just as awkward despite this sort of thing being something he was used to.]

You'll be better off for it. It's not like you have anything better to do.

I'd rather just relax and enjoy the party.

I'm not saying to do anything different than that.

But I won't meet many people if I just sit back, and that's how I like to enjoy things.

You plan to not move from this spot at all? Even just looking around will allow you to interact with others. At least take one dance.

I'll move around and stuff - but I don't really know what to do at parties besides watch. I never really went to any before. [ and pointedly staying silent on the dance thing, but making a face at it. ]

It's the same as when you run a shop really, you just say hello to people and start talking to them. It's not like you're bad at that sort of thing. [He notes the expression and frowns a bit.] At least try once, otherwise it will be a waste of having practiced at all.

But dancing with strangers is kinda weird. So how about I just dance with you once and call it good?
