Part I: Eating and Mingling megamagicpower June 27 2011, 08:23:12 UTC
[Once everything was set up, Lemina grabbed herself a plate, served herself some salad, and took her seat at the head of the middle table. Once everyone was here and they all had a bite to eat, they could get down to business.]

Yeah... I'd really only be decent at teaching advanced students. There's a reason I don't ever intend on taking on an apprentice.

[several reasons... but we're not going into those.]

Usually an apprentice is someone who at least knows the basics before studying under you, but I see what you mean.

Still, you may have to do some teaching if you plan to be active in this guild.

I can do some. Short term. But nothing like you. I'm good at being someone people come to when they need help, not someone to learn from.

[Speaking of which isn't Patchy supposed to be giving Marisa magic lessons at the start of the month?]

So you are more adept at answering specific questions rather than showing the whole picture. That does make sense.

[Yes, she is. Lessons on control.]

Yup. About right. Which is why anyone who wants to learn abouot magic should go through you first before me.

[We should get that log up sometime soon.]

A part of me wants to not send them to you at all.

[Indeed.]

Don't blame you, ze. I am insane.

[You wanna do that or should I?]

At least you admit it.

[Can you?]

I always have, ze.

[I'll get it up a little later today, if that's okay.]

If anything, it's a sign you haven't completely lost it yet.

As long as I don't become a shut-in focused exclusively on my research, I won't completely lose it. It's the connections to other people that keep me grounded, ze.

[Oh that was cold. That doesn't get an answer, just an unamused glare.]

...

[She gives Patchy a confused look. Why was she getting that glare? All she said was--

Oh. Oh shit.]

I-I didn't mean you! You have connections to other people. You are part of the SDM, ze. You're not Alice.

[Really? That's how you're going to justify it?]

Just watch your words in the future, rat.

[Well she is a shut-in that focuses on her research. Just not EXCLUSIVELY like Alice seems to do. Patchy's not talking to her books and pretending they talk back.]

I will, I will. As long as I don't hear you having conversations with you're books, you're all good~
