She casts a sidelong glance out of the corner of her eyes and smiles at him, yet unaware of his dastardly plot to ruin her dreams.

"Oh, yes! It's like an aquatic wonderland~!" she siiiiighs. "Don't you agree? Don't you think it's pretty?"

IT WAS SUPPOSED TO BE RENGE. But I fail ;^; chocogun June 12 2011, 01:07:20 UTC
"How many sea monsters you think there are living inside these waters?" a smirk.

A likely story! /shows to couch ukidoki_orgasm June 12 2011, 02:42:55 UTC
Oh... Oh she knows this game, and pouts over her shoulder momentarily before shrugging. "None."

Because all the sexy mermaid men with their tridents would ward any sea monster who dared set fin (dorsal or tail) into the shining, beautiful water. And when the tailed men succeeded, they would marry all the beautiful mermaid princess and lay eggs and have tadpole babies and live happily ever after...!

"Why would you think there'd be sea monsters?"

"Natural balance. There has to be a natural predator in every world to keep things balanced." so Earth Biology taught, but who knows about any of that nowadays? Besides, Mello always expected the worse.

"Little mermaid, right?" that's what Renge was thinking. "Doesn't even that story has monsters?"

"It has the sea witch," she said. "I'm also sure, in the little mermaid, that humans were supposed to be a sort of predator, so I figure we're okay! We won't be predators; we'll be mermaid activists - only here to help them!"

Can you tell she just really wants to meet a mermaid, Mello? Really - really wants to. And she might be a little sad if she learns that full-on mer-people were not a common species here.

"Mermaid activist, really? Will you hold signs saying Save the mermaids?" can you tell he is a bit amused, Renge?

"This is like your childhood dream, isn't it?"

She nodded, "Uh-huh!"

Well, it was something of a dream. Not to mention it was a more recent dream to see a planet akin to her Earth. Of course, it was a lot bluer, but that just meant that maybe this was a mermaid Earth, and every little girl dreamed about mermaids.

Renge turned and smiled at Mello. Even if it might not be his dream, there was one thing that neither of them could have a problem with. "It'll be really cool to swim in water that isn't the pool on the Thor, don't you think?"

"I don't really enjoy swimming." of course he'd be negative about it, but he added after. "Though, I admit, I do like the look of this planet." Humans would always miss their worlds, Mello figured. While you are in space, visiting new exciting - some! - planets, there is always that lingering feeling that you'd once like to go back to Earth.

And Mello hasn't been there for two years and half now.

She shrugged at his statement.

"Will you come swimming with me anyway?" she asked sweetly, leaning back from the window and smiling at him. "...pretty please? I don't think it'd be fun to go alone~!"

Renge has learn how to convince Mello to do things he wasn't really into. Yeah, mello himself realized that.

At first he says "No" with a dismissing expression, but with an expression that would remind a pout he finally rolled his eyes "Fine."

Yes!

She smiled, and clapped her hands gently in front of herself. Oh, that had...well, it had been a little easy! Perhaps he was going soft living with her - first not killing her when the guns wound up pink and secondly agreeing to go swimming with her...! Ah, well! Renge would count this as a victory!

"Oh, thank you! I promise you won't have a bad time!"

chocogun June 16 2011, 06:22:12 UTC
She better not, that totally wasn't a victory.

"Don't promise things you don't know about." Renge had no idea how the natives were or if the waters were even safe. "I want to see what kind of technology they have here." and their weapons. Mello wouldn't mind bringing one along.

She's just going to partially ignore that statement and count this as a victory still!

"Oh, don't be so 'work-work-work'! There's technology everywhere, but here there's the chance to go swimming~!" She smiled, chest puffing out importantly. "And I can promise you will have a good time! I will personally see to it!"

"I didn't come on this trip to 'have fun', I came to find answers,. gather items, grow used to space travelling" oh here he goes babbling about work. You started Renge.

BIG. Big yawn.

She bats at her mouth, trying to stifle said yawn and seem like she's paying attention. "Uh-huh. But there's no reason to have fun for, like, a minute~ Before you work really hard~!" Blinkblink, smile. "Don't you agree?"

And, of course, that 'don't you agree' is more of a hinting 'agree with me and i won't bother you that much'.
