  • First, I've been on a roll, posting fic, and that feels pretty great after almost a solid month of a complete lack of words. (Fireman AU one-shots here and here.)
  • Second, #2 turned fifteen (new folks: I had her when I was six. Tragic, right? Babies shouldn't have babies.) and she's so freaking gorgeous and fun and I just really love my girl.

Aw, your kids are growing up! How delightful/terrifying/awful/amazing for you. Give your daughter a hug from me...but not in a creepy internet stranger way.

RE: steering wheel tray. Ahahahaha!

"No longer is driving around the boring mundane task it has to be, in fact, I'm currently writing this review going 85 mph on route 54! I think I've hit a couple children... so I ordered their respective families flowers just now!"

So funny, especially the offended sincere comments that think all the other commenters are stupid monsters.

Oh, I will DEFINITELY make it a creepy internet stranger way. She needs to learn sometime, right?

Is that not HILARIOUS? Almost as good as the comments on Paula Deen's boiled peas recipe. I think I backed out before I saw the offended comments, ahahahaha, GOING BACK IN!

Was that story not amazing? I fortunately found it from a rec, so wanted to share. :D (And check out the rest of her fics on Dreamwidth. There's an excellent Dalton-era story)

Hi!

So happy to hear about all the happy school graduation time!! :)

I'm confused/hope i'm wrong and its a typo/ with this: "Second, #2 turned fifteen (new folks: I had her when I was six. Tragic, right? Babies shouldn't have babies.) and she's so freaking gorgeous and fun and I just really love my girl."...Do you mean sixteen?

Yay for the love!! :) I don't have a great mother (read: selfish/egotistical etc) and i look to you for parenting stories. (I am only 23 and have suffered my first major heart break. It is difficult because he is an actor and will be in the news soon because of film promotion and i just..find it very difficult. Any advice/pearls of wisdom ??).

HAHAHAHAHAHA. No. I was being silly. (I had my daughter when I was in my early twenties. The joke is that I'm trying to pretend that *I'm* still in my twenties. Which I am not.)

Pearls of wisdom? Hmm...breakups are so painful. Don't get hung up on who did what wrong (or whatever is said was wrong.) Not everyone is a good, healthy match, even when they have wonderful things about them. Remember the qualities you liked about them and know that there will be another person out there with those same qualities - one who will be a little more sure of themselves and of you.

(And never date actors. We're horribly self-centered! <3)

I needed that tray back in my DC commuting days. I actually did read on my drive -- just when sitting still in town, but I could have totally used that tray for my laptop. There were a few times when I didn't move more than an inch every 10 minutes. Ah, the good old days.

(Now I'm safer and do audiobooks since there's no stopping on my drive.)
