On-topic: I love HDJM so. much. and though it's only a small part, part of that is because it's not TWoP. Sigh, TWoP. I learned never to read the recaps for anything I actually like over there, if I don't want to feel insulted for liking it or want to punch someone in the face for how hard they're bashing / snotty nicknames for my favorite characters.

Off-topic: ~don't even mention Google Ads, they are DEAD TO ME~ Last night I got hit with a Santorum For President GoogleAd while reading a random non-political forum. DO NOT WANT.

Oh, TWoP used to be a place I enjoyed, but then they seemed to have too much joy in ripping shit apart, and I just don't get it. It was mean, and not in the "Oh, Snooki, you so crazy, girl" way. Like, they seemed to be encouraging everyone else to hate it, too.

UGH. NO ME GUSTA. Also, they have refused all requests of proof we "rigged the system" at HDJM and refused to pay us the money we earned carrying their ads. ASSHOLES.

Oh my goodness, I have to say -- I was telling my sister just the other night how I've known people in fandom to start different sites with different levels of committment, and how most sort of fade away after beginning. I told her because I was explaining how you've really explored all the opportunities out there, have been so on top of the stats and numbers and ways to make sure the potential readers are getting the recaps when they expect them and people new to the site will find things, and been so proactive about searching for new ways to make things even better. It's really admirable, seriously, what you've done and continue to do with HDJM. ♥

I agree about TWOP. I really used to enjoy the recaps there, but it's gone from being funny to just plain hateful and nasty. It's one thing to make fun of plot holes and such, but they're so far beyond that!

YES PLEASE! (Off hand, we get on average 600,000 hits a month, and growing. I can break down further stats on repeats, length of stay and demo of age, but our typical age range is 18 - 40.)

I just don't want to read about things I like from someone that hates them, you know? Why are you torturing yourself with the assignment, writer, if you hate it so much? Surely someone loves it and will take over. HEY, LIKE MY SITE! ;D
