The first person that sings "Just Breathe" to me gets a sock to the chops.

Mostly because I have a preteen daughter that's been singing that for a few days now. OH MY GOD I AM GOING STIR CRAZY. I cannot spend another day in bed, tired from anesthesia or no. Save me from the quiet! In return, I'll blab on about too much stuff, 'kay?

My surgery, what was REALLY wrong with me, and a diagram! I'm not graphic, but I don't shy away, so if you're a sensitive type, there's your warning. )

HI HI HI!!! Oh my goodness, I am so happy to be able to breathe, too.

Oh, in one of my weekend online jaunts to try and connect to LIFE[zomg], I read your LOVELY post about Jim and his partner's vows. Beautiful. And talk about setting the bar, high! <3 Such a lovely thing to read.

so what led to the discovery of all this? You mentioned you didn't really know that you were congested all the time, so how did this whole surgery thing evolve?

A few weeks ago I had my routine "you healthy?" "yup" appointment with my regular doctor. I really am fit as a fiddle, so they're never extensive, also, I have "I wanna be in and out" issues with doctors.

I asked as I was leaving if it was normal that I've only ever breathed out of half of my nose before, he looked at me weird, said, no, then scheduled an appointment for a CT and a meeting with an ENT. A week later, surgery. I like to move fast. :)

I am so glad things went well and you're breathing better and all. I once had all of my sinuses blocked at once (no one told me you were supposed to breathe out when you dive into a pool) and it was incredibly painful and then when fixed the world was shiny and new.

Neti pots are awesome.

Puka shells? Seriously? Who does he think he is, Logan Eckols?

Ahahahaha, if he was more Logan Echols like, I would have been doomed to run away with him and hold his septum speculum for the rest of my life! <3 Hahaha.

I don't like neti pots as much as my nasal rinse - waaaaaaay easier to use, imo. The principle behind it? Love. Pouring water from a pot into my nostril and not making a mess? So hard for me. :B

Wow! That was some seriously heavy-duty surgery thar! I'm glad for you that they found out what the issue was, and were able to fix it so completely.

Three cheers!

Hee! If you're a wifi hub, you'll know by the gaggle of internetters that will gather outside your house anon.

I swear, I heard my surgeon describe one of the instruments as "fios" and... I'm now Verizon's latest hub.

...can you hear me now? ;)

I'm glad I never realized how bad it was upstairs - now I just have the wonderful After of deep breathing! It's still a little "tight" up there - I know some procedures were done, but it's not painful. It'll just get better with time. Woot!

Ooooh, were y'all just beside yourself with happy being in Florida with the warmth and the sun and the severe lack of snow??? Did you come back with a little sun burn on your noses? :) I just can't deal with all of that snow - you guys are troopers. Oooh, big DI coming up? The boys excited? Are you getting overwhelmed with all the work? It'll be worth it! You always have so much fun when all is said and done.

*loves on you*

Oh, I can imagine how WONDERFUL that felt to have that warm sun on your skin after all the cold days...

Oh, that's too bad! If you need to vent about that, I'm here for you. Is it his behavior? his parents? Feel free to ignore if it's too stressful to talk about. I'm glad the boys are still enjoying the team, though. Such a rewarding (and challenging) activity for their little minds!
