18 miles today. 10 min. mile pace. I timed it so I'd be back at my house at the 12 mile mark so I could take Sally Derg on the last 6 miles. 15 schnitzengreuben's 7 miles is her limit. :) When she saw that I had come back she was all sad faces because she knew I was walking without her, then I grabbed her leash and she crawled towards me with ( Read more... )

I have been turning over and over whether or not to do NaNo this year. Novembers are always sort of rough, just because it's electionhomg. This year I have one story I've been working on off and on just for fun that got derailed because I lost the notebook I'd written my most recent scene in, but I sort of ought revive...

I also have a title that might deserve a story, but I fear it might have mushy romanciness in it and I think I'm anti-love right now, so it might need to wait. Wow, could I have said "might" more in that sentence if I TRIED?

Your photos make me GLEE. And the hairspray in that one is sort of painful to look upon. Also, I cannot WAIT to try that recipe!!!

November *is* a tough month, isn't it? I have the 3-Day that will take up four days, then I have Thanksgiving, which is usually at my house, but! You don't have to kill yourself if you don't make it, you know? I find it helpful to have a goal and a time frame for it. Maybe that could help you when the election winds down and you don't have a million things a day to do? *G*

It really is - honestly, I feel like Feb or March would be an all-around better month for it just because November has all sorts of pre-holidays and Thanksgiving stuff causing trouble in it and February's always depressing anyway, right?

Funny fact: in 06 I actually did most of my NaNoing in the week before the election. I would work till about eleven or midnight, go home and write for an hour in bed, and go to work at 7, which is a surprisingly easy routine to fall into. However, once the election actually HAPPENED I got all thrown off and wrote nothing else till like Thanksgiving (which I did by myself at home and therefore was great writing time).

I've pretended to do it for 3 of the past 4 years but I don't think I've managed to top like 10 or 15,000 words yet, so my goal isn't too high.

Oh man. Hopefully I can find a job for that special post-election time period, but yeah. Maybe I can NaNo this year!!

*babbles at you*

I'm going to attempt to write something. We shall see.

Sally is so cute! One of the new guys on SAR has a Saint Bernard puppy. He brought him to the store this morning and OMG, so cute! He's about the same size as Buddy but clearly with much growing still to do. He's 18 months, so full height, but not filled out. He's going to be thick.

Great idea! entrenous88 and I had a comm last NaNo that I found incredibly supportive. It's locked so people could post snippets if they wanted, but mostly it was a hand-holding comm. :D

Saint Puppy!!!! ZOMG I bet he was so fluffy and big paw'd and Bweeee!!

Someone was walking their charcoal Weimeraner puppy that couldn't have been more than 6 months old and I wanted to smash hees leetle belleh on my face, he was so wriggly and cute. Seriously: Why are dogs so rad?!?

EEEEEEE! Oh my goodness, I love hounds. Black and Tans are chatty, but so funny. I like dogs you can run with.

Um, Marble has kind of stolen my heart. Healers are some of my most favorite ever.

A friend made about half a dozen of them & shared with me. :)

My hobbies are reading, napping, and bossing people around, all of which I do well. \o/
