Cool. So very cool. Did you actually develop this out of that drabble you wrote, or did you cut the drabble from this? Either way, nice to see it in it's expanded form. Nice to see some new, (relatively) long fic from you. Bravo.

I actually started the story thinking that it would be related to the drabble, "universe"-wise, but that it wouldn't actually riff off of it. Only I kept getting stuck, and the drabble was the only thing that could get me unstuck.

Well it fits in seamlessly. If I hadn't read it as a separate piece, I wouldn't have been able to pick it out.

Ah, I'm glad I finally saw this. :) Lovely stuff! So nice to see a well-developed story that focuses on their personalites and families as well as attraction to one another.
