Reading? What?

Well, now I've had my computer science midterm and oh my god, what a sad waste of 18 pages. We had two hours to do it, and I handed it in just after one. I went out, grabbed an iced cappuccino and waited for my friends to get out. Seriously, I just owned that test. I'm probably going to end up failing it, just because that's how these things work ( Read more... )

"The first was The Big U by Neal Stephenson, who my mom says is reknowned for his later science fiction work or something."
Ok I got introduced to his books about a year or so ago by my roomate. While I've never acctually read The big U it's bound to be good. He has some of the most awsome books in his, later science fiction catigory. I must recomend at least one, as anyone who hasn't read this needs to. Infact I'm planning on reading it again as soon as eng.literature lets up with the homework.

If you have any intrest in sci-fiction at all you must read Snow Crash. The main character's name is Hiro Protagonist.

Seriously? That's awesome! I've read the first couple chapters of The Big U, and that same sense of humour (the kind where you would call the main character Hiro Protagonist, lol) is all over the book. It's awesome so far, which is funny when there hasn't been the slightest bit of plot, haha. Just shifting from character to character.

I love sci-fi, so I'll definitely check out Snow Crash after this one.

Actually, I don't read nearly as much as I did when I was younger, and I really should. I have a voracious appetite for fiction, especially science fiction and fantasy, and (my guilty pleasure) young adult fiction. That's probably why I like Harry Potter, actually - two of my favourite genres.

Anyway, there is going to be another Chapter's Event at ASE 2 this year, so perhaps I should save some money and make a contribution to the fund by buying a few books. When you're done reading some more, please feel free to give some recommendations!
