I'm pretty clueless when it comes to fanfic (at least when it comes to the jargon.) So I had no idea there was another meaning for ship.

It's short for "relationship" and mostly means which pairing of people gets you off: Jack Harkness / The Doctor? Buffy / Faith? Like that. :-)
