Okay, so I was watching the pilot episode of being human, and I just had to share this Hogwarts House discussion the characters had in a pub with my f-list.

Mitchell (The vampire): So you've just arrived at Hogwarts--what House do they put you in?

A lot of things about the Slytherin ideal are also on the sociopath profile, it's true: manipulation, charm, ability to lie smoothly, etc. I think the mark of a real Slytherin is that they have the ability to do all those things - they're in their bag of tricks, so to speak - but it's not all they can do, and it's not their lifestyle. They can cross that line into being a sociopath, but so can anyone, if they're pushed far enough.

And, well. Probably the reason why Slytherin gets that association is that they can go there without having to be pushed as far as the others, because if they see those skills as tools and begin to abuse them because they work so well, they might start having an effect on their own psyche (Voldemort, anyone?).

As for your question: no, I don't think you're a sociopath, and I don't think I am either. XP

LOL, I loved that part too. Hufflepuff is always the brunt of the glitter jokes. XD
