it was good, though I didn't think it was the best cliff hanger ending. I thought the special effects of the angels falling were fantastic! Loved the hug moment between Dean and Sam and Sam finally admitting how he was sorry about things and Dean saying no matter what you come first. Wasn't surprised by Cas losing his angel powers I didn't think how he could be a series regular and still have his powers.

I think season four still holds the title for best ending but for me personally this one came close.

I loved all the moments this episode. The Sam and Dean moment was very sweet and a long time coming. I would have liked there to be more Dean and Cas but I think things are going to work out for them soon.

I agree, the special effects were fantastic. It was sad and beautiful all at once.

Yeah, I figured Cas would lose his powers as well. Not only because of his season regular status but also because we're catching up to 2014. I think season nine will be very exciting!

I might still be beyond words. I know I was last night. I agree, the special effects with the angels falling was ridiculously cool. Human!Cas is way too exciting to me. I can't wait to see that, atleast for a few episodes, I'd imagine. Crowley's breakdown was a highlight for me. I loved seeing him so broken, and so now I wonder, what next? Like the demons WON'T attack the vulnerable angels? Vendettas and all that.

I kind of wanted Sam to do it, to end it. Their moment was sweet, but I might have been chanting 'do it, Sammy!' To end that train of plot and to focus on the heaven debacle with Metatron? That seemed good to me. But yeah, I gueeeeessss Sam can stay, but won't he be all broken and weakened from now on for completing the trials?

I hate to say it... I was kind of sad Naomi died. I was a hater from day 1, but I believed her. I believed she wanted to change.

Oh man, that Metatron. Booger gone wild. I guess we'll see, huh?

Yeah, I still can't even begin to write extensively about this episode and I've watched it twice now. There was so much good in that episode and somethings I would have seeing more of.

I think we probably might have a demon vendetta situation, but there's also the Abaddon versus Crowley stuff so I'm not sure what we're gonna see. Maybe they'll try fitting all of that in? That could prove to be interesting but also dangerous.

Then there's the Metatron stuff and the Sammy stuff and the human!Cas situation.

I'll tell ya this: I don't know what we'll get from season nine but I haven't been this excited about a premiere since season five!

I know how you feel. I have mixed feelings about it too. I‘ll come back after re-watch.

The last scene really wonderful and heartbreaking,,really amazing,,,sam and dean relationship in this season really good, like the old times...and Cas,,poor him,,,he lost his grace,,,maybe the next season he will got his grace back,,,maybe,,and I hate metatron,,,he's assbutt,,,,

They really were such lovely moments between Dean and Sam. I’d like Cas to have his grace again as well but I do want him to be human for a bit too! Yeah, Metatron is really awful, I agree completely!
