Once more you assume... It is not something you should continue. I stated you were to tell me when I attacked unprovoked. What happened between David [he puts a bit of stress on the older soldier's name as he speaks, though his tone remains largely the same] and myself was not without reason.

My actions were not without reason. I am not sure how many times more I must repeat this to you before you finally understand - what happened between myself and Snake [he slips into using Snake's codename again, prompted by Meryl's own use of it] is between myself and him.

There is no need for you to concern yourself.

If someone has been killed, they will not be awakening. It is a physical impossibility to wake up dead.

No matter what answer I give you, you will assume I am lying. There is no meaning to me giving you any sort of answer at this point, you have already made up your mind of what you choose to believe.

[And that comment struck a nerve. Whatever fire awakened in Frank suddenly burns fierce, jerking his head to face the screen as a dangerous glint surfaces in his eye. Though his face remains stony, his ton holds a certain ire that faintly surfaces as a growl.]

Elisa trusted in me.

[He's starting to realize she may be purposely doing this, attempting to pry and stab at any sign of weakness. It's growing frustrating - how many more times can he explain that when it came to Gene, there was no choice but to follow and obey the man's words? That one's body would work completely against their mind when trapped under his influence? He wracks his mind for the proper term, letting out a short grunt when all he can do is turn up nothing.]

When you are prepared to listen to what I am saying and cease behaving like a spoiled child, then perhaps this conversation will go more smoothly... I do not expect that day to come any time soon.
