RP: Home-cooked Dinner

When Lavender arrived home from work, she could smell dinner cooking. She closed the door quickly behind her - there was no sense in letting the warmth escape after all the trouble they'd had getting the place heated. Lavender smiled, feeling hungrier as she hung up her cloak and took off her scarf; hopefully whatever he was cooking would be ready soon.
Work had been gloriously quiet today, allowing Lavender to catch up on her paperwork and the latest memos about what was going on in the hospital. The most eventful moment of the day had been a mother bringing in her three-month-old baby who was hiccuping purple bubbles - a rather interesting reaction to a colic potion. Sue had treated them to smoothies from Hammerside, too, which had been a nice change from the rather boring coffee in the staff room. If it was still quiet tomorrow, Lavender planned to get hot chocolate or something from The Pour House.
"Ron?" she called, toeing off her shoes. "I'm home! Something smells really good." She made her way out to the kitchen and kissed Ron on the cheek. "How was your day, sweetheart?"
