I've been around. You've been busy, too. You broke my heart by never planning firm plans the last we owled. I had to withdraw and wallow in self-pity at being replaced by a new job and other friends. Should be careful so I don't get tear stains on the parchment.

Dinner sounds good. Most weekends are free, unless I'm doing volunteer stuff or hanging around London with my brother. I can definitely be a sounding board.

Dear George,

Yes, I'm sure Elle and Ernie don't mind who I bring. You'll behave yourself for the most part, I'm sure. It should be fun.

Yes, I'm starting to realize that. Would you rather have a weekday dinner or a picnic sometime on a weekend? You don't have to bring groceries unless you want to pick out the menu. I'd been thinking about steak and kidney pie, but if you'd rather something else that works too.
