Hammerside was very impressive, Lavender thought as she made her way into the building. Dean clearly had a lot to be proud of, the vision he'd had making a place that the town could really be proud of. She found Dean and Parvati's flat, pausing outside to adjust her hair and take a moment to think about this.

Parvati had moved in with Dean weeks ago and not told her, which hurt enough, but Lavender felt guilty because she hadn't even known that Parvati wasn't even in Copper Towers anymore. She looked down at the plant that she'd bought as a housewarming present for them both, telling herself that she was pleased for her friend more than anything else, rather than upset that they seemed to be drifting apart again.

Lavender looked up and knocked firmly on the door.

Lavender had a lovely plant in hand when Parvati opened the door to her and she smiled, thought there was a bit of an awkward moment when she went to hug her and nearly knocked the plant out of Lavender's hand.

"Congratulations," she said, adding, "And welcome to Dean's flat. Our flat. He's working tonight, which sort of works out because it'll give us a chance to talk. How are you?"

Lavender hugged Parvati, trying not to drop the pot she was holding. "Thank you," she said softly, then held out the poinsettia. Lavender had always liked the bright colour of the plant, and with Christmas approaching at an alarmingly swift rate it was also rather seasonal. "This is for you and Dean. Just a small housewarming present."

She smiled, following Parvati into the flat. She spotted Shiva and a few other things that belonged to Parvati. "I'm good, thanks. Still not entirely recovered from the last few stressful weeks, but I'm coping. It's nice to be finished with all the studying."

"Thank you," she said. "Haven't even though about decorating for Christmas, so this is a good start. Last Christmas was so different, I wasn't even in the country, was I? And now..."

"Well, come on in and have a drink, then. I got some champagne to celebrate, but we can save that for later."

As she fixed the drinks, she called from the kitchen. So all the extra studying is done, then? Have you started house hunting yet?"
