A faint breeze blew, ruffling Oliver's hair as he approached the field. Armed with a picnic basket, duffle bag, and broomstick, he crossed the street and paused just off the sidewalk, surveying the land. Wayne had been right- it was a good field, and it looked like it would do nicely. He set his basket down and walked the outer edge of the field, searching for something he could transfigure into goal posts. Aha! He found some logs and transfigured them into makeshift goals, whistling a jaunty tune to himself as he worked. That done, he stepped back, looking up at his work. Not half bad, if he might say so himself.
It was still a little early, though Oliver was sure that people were on their way. There seemed to be a general buzz; many people were just as excited about this whole outing as he was. Jogging back to his things, he picked it all up to move a little closer to the edge of the field. He spread a blanket out and set his picnic basket on it, and looked up as he saw a handful of people approaching the field.
