Luna's stomach growled as she pushed open the door to the Five Alarm and looked around. It was a bit late for lunch, but with her shift later, she wouldn't be having dinner on a normal schedule, anyway. She glanced around the pub, as always taking a look around for a familiar face, and grinned when she spotted a very upbeat-looking Su at the bar. She moved to take a seat next to her.

"Hello, Su," she said as she sat. "You look like you're having a wonderful day."

Su glanced over when she heard the door open in hopes that it would be a familiar face. She was bored sitting there all alone and the barmaid didn't want to hear about her book and fiddling with the straw in her lemonade was simply not sufficient entertainment. She was delighted to see Luna. A friend! Excellent.

"Luna!" Su beamed. "How are you?" she asked, leaning over to give a one-armed hug. "I am having a wonderful day. I finished my book! Done! Complete! It's such a great feeling. Obviously. How are you? Oh wait, I asked that already, sorry." She grinned, hardly able to sit still in her excitement and happiness.

"I'm really well," she said, giving her friend a quick squeeze before she settled back to listen to her news. Her eyes widened and she grinned. "Your manuscript; really? Su, that's brilliant. I know how long you were working on it, I'm so proud. What's your next step, then?"

And Luna's reaction was just what Su had been hoping for. She was sure that she would have been grinning even wider if that had been physically possible. "Thank you! It has been a while, and it took even longer with the Festival in the middle of it all. Next I need to get in touch with Hermione Granger at the bookstore. We've agreed that she'll have first rights to it, and if she does want it there will presumably be an editor involved, and I'll have to revise and such. So I'm not really done, but it's fantastic to have this step completed." Su lowered her voice conspiratorially. "I actually threw my quill across the room when I finished. But don't tell anyone, or I might be retroactively kicked out of Ravenclaw."
