Caradoc had been making a list. Actually he had been trying to make a list. It wasn't really the sort of thing he thought a list would help with, but then again, he didn't think could hurt to try. He had been in the middle of the fourth point when he heard a call from the living room.

Leaving his study, he saw Arabella's head in the fire. "Arabella! Would you like to come through?"

Arabella waited what seemed a long time before Caradoc finally showed up, seeming a bit preoccupied.

"No, that's all right, dearie," she said quickly. "I just had a little question for you. I was wondering if you would like to come over for dinner some time soon."

"I'd love to. With Cai off helping Maris, I've been mostly living on pub food this week." He looked a little ashamed of himself. He had been eating a lot of pastries too, which weren't particularly healthy for a man his age. "I have plans for Friday night, but otherwise I'm free. When would you like me?"

"Yes, I've missed Cai very much too," Arabella admitted. "She's tremendously helpful, even if a bit bossy sometimes. But don't tell her I've missed her or I'll never hear the end of it once she's back."

"How about Sunday evening? Around five o'clock?" she asked. "I'd not want to keep you too late. This way we'll have a nice long time to chat and catch up."
