Irma had stopped by the 5 alarm for lunch - when a mess of a person entered the pub. Irma wondered why someone would walk into a public establishment looking like that. Maybe it was a bet? She returned to her lunch, while continuing to cast glances at the coloured blob in question, and wonder about the cause behind it.

Tonks was sure she could see someone looking at her. Well, she was sure there were more than just one person staring at her, but she had been afraid she'd cause even more damage should she attempt to clean herself up. Sighing, Tonks signaled for a drink. Long day indeed.

Hannah stopped by the 5 Alarm for lunch between the Apothecary and the museum. Brecca and/or Grendel had made a mess in the kitchen that morning so she hadn't had time to pack a lunch as usual. As she entered, she noticed a woman who looked slightly older than herself who looked like she'd had a bad encounter with about a dozen of the paint balloons Fred and George had made for Ginny's birthday.

The other woman was drinking, but looked like she could use some company, so Hannah walked up and sat down beside her at the bar, "Hi, I'm Hannah Abbott. You look like you've had a hard day."

She couldn't even run a hand through her hair as she was finding out. Either her hand would get stuck in the matted ink or she'd find a spot that hadn't quite dried yet. Oh this was just bloody brilliant.

Tonks looked up from her drink, giving the woman a small smile. "Tonks. Technically Nymphadora Tonks, but we'll stick with Tonks." She nodded, inky hair falling into her face. "Hard day doesn't even begin to cover it."

At least the woman seemed to have a sense of humor about her predicament. "Tonks it is then. You're an Auror, right?" Hannah thought she remembered that from her school days, "Did you have a run in with a paint-ball gun or some of the Weasley twins' products?"

Tonks shook her head. But... paint-ball gun? Whatever that was. "Neither surprisingly." As it really couldn't be a paint-ball gun if she didn't even know what that was. "Though, I'm sure it's the type of joke one of the twins would set up. Hell, it's something I would have set up to be perfectly honest." Sighing, Tonks took a much needed drink. "No, rather... I had a box filled with ink crash on my head. And here's the result."

Orla hadn't taken time to fix her lunch, and her stomach protested further wait, so she stopped on by Five Alarm for some takeout. She was waiting at the end of the counter for her food, when a flash of color caught her eye. Taking a second look, she nearly dropped the package she had just been handed. Oh dear.

Tucking her food under her arm, She moved to a seat vacated by a familiar looking blonde woman, to sit next to Tonks. Signaling the bartender, she got a glass of iced tea. "Well, you look like you could use a sympathetic ear, Tonks. I'd ask how you've been, but I'm guessing your current state is a bit of a testimonial to that."

Tonks winced, hearing a familiar voice. Then again, it was Orla and at least she could understand. Sighing, Tonks turned to look at the woman, giving her an absolute helpless look.

"Actually, I've been alright," Tonks said, signaling to order a bite of food. As much as she needed a drink right about now, she was not about to drink her way into oblivion over a case of spilled ink. "I've just been working and trying to get the damn shop perfect. It really could have been opened a few weeks ago but I just wanted to get everything perfect." She sighed. "Then I had a box of ink topple on me." Tonks held out her hands. "And... here's the result."

The look on Tonk's face made Orla want to hug her, but that wouldn't really help either of them, so she refrained. She just said with a littl smile, "Hi."

Seeing Tonks settling in for lunch, Orla asked for some cutlery to join her. "Perfect eh?" She took a bite of her meal. "Sounds like you were trying a bit too hard. I know you'll be successful even if you don't have it perfect by your standards."

"Besides," She said in a pragmatic way, "Opening day folks are going to be browsing and mess it all up again."

She tilted her head towards Tonks. "I'd offer to evanesco the ink, but my charms aren't as good as I'd like them to be." She said dryly.

"I know they are," Tonks said, wrinkling her nose. "But at the same time I want it to look... well... good. I've only always been an Auror," she said thoughtfully, about to run a hand through her hair but quickly thinking better of it. "And while I'm still helping out a couple of days a week... I don't think I could ever not be one." Tonks realised she was babbling and took a breath, steering her thoughts back on track. "It still is my first venture and I want it to look good. Not 'the half-arsed job done by the klutz'."

Chuckling, Tonks nodded taking another sip. "You and I both. Hence why I'm going to be appealing to Mum. While I trust my charms, I don't fancy trusting them on myself."
