Padma had arrived early as usual, an unfortunate habit she'd picked up in New York, but no matter. Her sister would hardly mind if she showed up a little early to dinner. Besides, Padma desperately wanted whatever was in Parvati's flat that smelled so good.

It didn't help that she was a little nervous though. Her sister had so far had a less than enthusiastic reaction to her taste in men, and she wasn't sure how her sister would take the news.

She knocked on the door and leaned against the door frame, sighing and waiting for it to be opened.

Parvati hurried to the door, opening it with a smile and a cry of welcome. SHe reached out to hug her sister, and the physical connection seemed to settle something in her. She really needed to do this sort of thing more often.

"How are you, Bahina? you look great," she said, pulling her inside and adding, "I'm sorry about the mess, I just got off work a few minutes ago."

Padma smiled and hugged her sister in return, laying her head on her shoulder a moment and taking comfort in the familiar scent of spices that her sister generally had on her, at least when she had been cooking.

She smiled as she was pulled inside. "I'm all right, busy, but I like it that way." She looked around at the mess and raised an eyebrow. "See, this is why I prefer to work at home, I can hide the evidence of my trysting more easily." She looked over at her sister and smirked a little.

"So, what are you cooking?"

Just as Parvati was trying to surreptitiously use her wand to Summon the clothes, her sister caught sight of them and came immediately to the correct conclusion. "Trysting?" she said, smiling. "I'm sure I have no idea What you're talking about." She summoned the clothes and walked them over to the bedroom, where she threw them onto an unsuspecting Shiva.

"Prawns," she answered. "Found some good ones at the market on my run last night. And of course, you can smell the Naan. You know me and bread."

"So, sit down and let me get you something to drink," she said, and after getting her sister's preference, she came back with two glasses and a plate of Bhujia. "Tell me everything," she said as she sat.
