By the time Luna pushed into the Five Alarm and looked around for Luna, she was famished. Between meetings with the rebuilding committee and flooing various benefactors in Britain about the hospital, she'd had a packed morning. And this afternoon, she still needed to attend the music club meeting to announce the fundraiser to its members. Hopefully, they'd show some interest.

But it wasn't the time to think about all that, at least not yet. She spotted Parvati at a table and smiled, walking over.

"Hello, Parvati. How are you? It's been some time since we've seen each other outside of work."

Parvati put on her warmest smile as Luna approached , wondering if Luna had heard any of the gossip that must have gone round the hospital when she was brought in last autumn. "I know," she said. "It's shameful, isn't it? Such a small town, and everyone having similar hopes and dreams, yet all of us seem to be hiding out, waiting for things to happen. I am determined to claw my way out of the rut I've settled in. How have you been?"

"How is the fundraising going so far?"

Luna took in Parvati's bright smile as she sat, studying the other woman intently in the same way she did most people. She seemed ... okay, if not altogether happy, and that was all one could ask of most people these days, Luna supposed. "It's rather a shame, yes," she said with a small smile, "though I can hardly talk about that. I don't get out nearly as much as I should to do the things I love. I'm glad you're pulling yourself out of your rut. Hopefully that's been going well for you ( ... )

Parvati thought about it. In spite of her brief bout of depression the week before, she really had made progress, and a lot of it had to do with Dean. "Well, I'm not spending anywhere near as much time looking out my window, so that's progress, I suppose. Where do you live, anyway? I don't think I'd heard, but I supposed it was somewhere on the street bearing your name, right? Did you grow up around here?"

She was a little embarrassed that Luna, instead of lamenting the conditions at the hospital as Parvati had done, decided to actually do something about it. "Is that so? I hadn't realize there was anyone left who had any money to speak of. Or is it foreigners, perhaps? My sister might very well have some contacts for you, too. I'll have to ask her."

"So, what is it that I'll be able to help you with?" she asked.
