It was early afternoon by the time Gilderoy had finished the designs for his wedding robes. Julian would, of course have matching ones, but he had to wait for the green lace he had ordered to come in before starting on his fiancé’s robes.
But oh, how lovely, how elegant, how shiny they were. Julian had specifically requested that he use no mauve, no plum, no eggplant or rose or coral or apricot in the color scheme. That something using their house colors would be acceptable and appropriate for such an occasion. Of course, he could have used a bit more black and white, but they were so traditional and common that Gilderoy just couldn’t bring himself to use much other than as an accent.
So it would be silver lace on green for his robes, and green lace on silver for Julian’s.
As he was putting away his embroidery things, he heard Knobby call from upstairs. Apparently he had a visitor, and she had asked for Gilderoy specifically.
“Aah! Miss Granger, I had nearly forgotten that we had an appointment today. I’m ever so sorry for not being here to greet you with my charming smile and demeanor upon your arrival. Do come inside and have a seat.”
