It had nearly been a week since Padma had spoken with Fleur, and she had not spent that week idly. She had gone through every book on British Divorce law she could find, jotting down every useful note. She had also looked up some old divorce cases, both wizarding and muggle, hoping for some insight. Really, all of this hinged on how much Bill Weasley wanted to fight the divorce. And that was the one thing she hadn't done yet, contacted Bill Weasley.

She rose from the couch in her study and rolled her neck from one side to the other to work out the kinks. Then she began to pace, trying to get the blood flwoing back to her legs. This was a letter she was truly loathe to write. She truly sympathized with Fleur, and she really wanted to fight as she could for her, but she also knew this was an emotionally charged situation, and that the two, on some level anyway, probably still loved one another. It felt as though she were trespassing on something truly private, and she hated butting into private matters.

Still, this letter had to be written, and she had put it off as log as she could. Padma had said that she would owl Bill within a week, and this was the last day of that week. Gods, what would she say? What could she say?

She forced herself to sit down at her desk and pick up her pen. She went through several drafts, staining her hands with ink, until she had it written to her satisfaction. Then she sent it off and leaned back in her chair. There was more to take of, she knew it, but what?

Padma glanced over to the corner, where a growing stack of books rested. Ah yes, Rabastan. She'd been so busy, she'd almost forgotten him. Luckily for her, after a certain point, that business almost ran itself, and it was a simple matter of sending and recieving mail and sometimes making a quick trip to pick up texts. Still, time was starting to crunch, and she probably didn't have the time or the energy to carry on two jobs. Best to handle that delicately as well.

Dear Bill Weasley,

Hello, my name is Padma Patil, and I am representing your wife, Fleur Delacour-Weasley in the divorce proceedings. I need to speak with you or your attorney about some of these matters. If you have an attorney, please have him or her contact me. if not, please designate a time at which we could meet to discuss things.

Regards,
Padma Patil

Rabastan,

If you have the time, would you like to join me at the observatory for lunch sometime next week? I have some matters I would like to discuss with you, and I would like to simply talk.

Padma
