Fleur walked from room to room in the house she shared with Bill Weasley, trying to figure out exactly what belonged to him and what belonged to her. She sighed and quietly wished that before their nuptials she had marked everything that was hers with her name so that there would be no possible misunderstanding.

In the end there really was not very much she wanted to take with her when she left this house. Her clothing and personal belongings, the gifts from her parents and her family members, but other than that she wanted very little.

“Babette!” she cried out. The lovely she-owl appeared and glided across the emptiness of the formal dining room. “Bonjour ma belle fille! It is good to see you. I know, it has been a long time.” Fleur stroked the crown of the beautiful bird as Babette nudged upward into her mistress’ hand.

“We will be moving soon, my lady,” Fleur whispered to her old friend, “When the time draws near for us to go I will help you with the owlets and you and Lucky Pierre and ze bébés can come and live with me. There will be two little ones, non?”

Babette nipped her beak in the air toward Fleur’s voice.

“Oui, mon ami,” Fleur replied, “I am not as happy as I could be, but relieved. It will be a good thing for all of us.” The owl and her mistress worked together to attach the missive to the bird’s leg.

“This one, take to Monsieur Dean Thomas, s’il vous plaît,” she asked. Babette sailed out of the open dining room window.

"Bonjour Dean!

This is Fleur and I have a favor to ask of you. Believe it or no, I need to find a place to live and remember the day we met that you mentioned you had tenants at Hammerside. Are there any flats ready and available at the present time? If so I would be extremely interested in seeing one and discussing the possibility of becoming one of your tenants. Please let me know if this is feasible because I would like to meet with you to discuss the matter at your soonest convenience.

Attente de votre réponse,
Fleur Delacour"
