No, that couldn't be right.
It was a person. A person decked out in green and sneaking around the back of an abandoned building that, to his knowledge, had not been claimed. And he'd been walking this way every day since he'd been here, so he would know.
Maybe it was one of the trouble makers that had gotten him in trouble last night and would probably be getting him into much more trouble once he'd arrived on the farm.
Sneaking around the corner, wall to the back like any good ex-Auror, wand at the ready, he called out in his most authoritative voice, "This is private property." Yeah, it wasn't. But so what? "Come out with your hands visible."

He pulled out his wand and cast a shining sparkle charm on his new house and storefront, cleaning it up and casting twinkling little stars all over the roof and the tops of all the surfaces.
"I think it should be re-painted. I like the green... perhaps with some lace window treatments. What do you think?"

She looked up as she head a voice calling excitedly for Rosie.
"Gilderoy?" Romilda asked as she looked up. "Gilderoy is that you? It's Romilda."
She had only met Gilderoy the day before, but his exuberance made her smile - he made Liam smile too, and that was something that they both needed right now.
"Rosie's not here at the moment Gilderoy, can I help you with anything?"

Romilda was called over to another gentleman at the bar who began flirting with her, telling her she had pretty eyes (which she did) and that color looked good on her (which it didn't really, but it wasn't terrible), and that she could sell him another butterbeer just with her smile.
"Yes! Yes you can help me, Romilda! And you might just be helping youself, as well."
Gilderoy went over to the other end of the bar and took her away from the other gentleman. "Sorry, I need to discuss something important with her."
He brought her all the way over to the end near the kitchen. "Have you ever done any modeling?" he asked in a half-whisper.

"Pardon, did you say modeling?" she clarified, half in disbelief, and half with a smirk.
She did like to think she was fairly good looking, but to have someone ask this made her unconsciously flip her hair over her ear and her smile broaden.
"Well, I can't say I have, but there's never really been an opportunity..." Well, there had, but she's hexed that Muggle photographer's camera when she realised the sort of photos he'd truly wanted. "...What with the war and all."

Perhaps he was a fireman on the way to a fire. Gilderoy tilted his head back and sniffed at the air. He didn't smell any smoke, so it must have been either a very small fire, or a fire that produced very little smoke. Since he was running so quickly, Gilderoy deduced that it was a smokeless fire, but a very large one, indeed.
As them an sped past and continued taking running at an amazing speed, Gilderoy silently wished him the best and said a silent prayer that the kitten that was undoubtedly trapped in the flames would be rescued soon.
