Rabastan had not planned anything for the cross-quarter day, preferring to leave it to seeing to his home. There had been a number of
changes in his home in the past few weeks. He was very pleased with the stone work in the new arch, completed yesterday, that now separated his study from the nave. The mahogany wall unit Roger Davies crafted from the wood that used to be in the chancel, completely filled the wall behind his desk, which had been moved back into the study that morning after Tibbs and Strak helped him place his
new carpet over the stone at the east end.
He had not set a specific time with his new student, but there was something of a routine in their evenings together, beginning with a scene at the door somewhere around 6 o'clock. Rabastan chuckled. He had mentioned adding her to the wards, and as his student, he planned to, however he really did enjoy the ritual verbal sparring at the door and wasn't particularly interested in foregoing it by having her let herself in. At 5:30, he showered, cleaned the gazebo, and finished preparing the salmon and vegetables for grilling. There wasn't much left to do except await Ginevra.
