RP and Owls: Fleur Sends Owls to Roger Davies and Orla Quirke

“Does he tell you all his secrets, all his fears and joys,” Fleur asked the white-faced barn owl, “Or is he closed to you, separate from you?”
Upon hearing her mistress’ question, Babette swiveled her head to gaze in the opposite direction from Fleur.
“It is a hurtful question to have to answer with the truth, non?” Fleur lifted an owl treat and Babette’s attention was immediately on the morsel. “Or do you hide ze truth from yourself, pretending that he loves you as once he did?”
The she-owl succumbed to Fleur’s touch and rubbed the side of its head against the palm of the woman’s hand.
“I know, mon bonbon, it is always easier to pretend than to face a painful truth. Be thankful that Lucky Pierre still…”
There were two missives for Fleur to attach to the lovely owl’s leg. Fleur smiled at Babette’s seeming change-of-heart towards her mistress’ advice and affection.
“Zis first letter, will you deliver it to Monsieur Roger Davies?” Fleur requested, “And the second, to Madam Orla Quirk?”
The bird took flight, this time knocking over Fleur’s coffee mug.
“Roger,
I am thinking that you and I should set a lunch date in the next few weeks. The Full Moon falls on this Wednesday, so I will be quite busy with arrangements for Bill to be as comfortable as possible. But after this week I can meet any time, that is, until the next Full Moon.

I am so very sorry for not contacting you sooner, but my recollection of responsibilities has become clouded in the aftermath of my recent troubles. I am thinking that today would be a very bad day for me to come in and meet with you as Wednesday is the Full Moon and…this week is just not a very good week for me to schedule a meeting as I have some family issues that require my attention.
If you have an appointment available for Tuesday morning, May 8th, I would very much like to come in and discuss my recent difficulties.
