Date: April 21st, 2005 (evening) Characters: Narcissa and Sanguini Location: The Basement Of Copper Towers Status: Private Summary: Sanguini attempts to cook again, with some odd results. Completion: Incomplete
Sanguini could still smell the faint aroma of his failed creations, but he hoped that she wouldn't notice. He had disposed of his distracted attempts at cooking and hoped that the scent of the Bulgarian dish would overwhelm any smell of burnt food.
His smile widened when she kissed his cheek, briefly baring his fangs.
"It has been too long."
He stepped out of the way so she could come inside and closed the door behind her.
"My first dishes didn't turn out very well, so I made a Bulgarian recipe I learned a while ago. I hope you don't mind."
"I was not aware of this change. I must be wary of mortals attempting to bore me all the way to my second death."
He made his eyes shift back and forth before he chuckled.
"Yes, I suppose I could. I do have a job already and I've explored almost every nook of town, but I'm sure there are other things for me to do. Miss Granger informed me that her bookshop is open on Wednesday nights for people to play chess and such. I may begin to do that, although I am absolutely terrible at chess."
Sanguini smirked. "Yes, I shall watch for such things with a vigilant eye."
He chuckled at her next words. "I am sure that you have the ability if you so wished. And if I find that humans began throwing themselves at me wildly, I shall take you up on that offer."
He nodded, still smiling. "I'm afraid that I've never had the knack for that particular game. Four hundred years hasn't made me any better. Jessica, one of my sire's other childer, attempted to teach me every week, but I failed miserably each time."
"Yes, I do have one. It is currently in my closet, and it is quite ancient but very functional. Unfortunately, it is not the one from my childhood, but it is still very old."

"That is always good to know."
He pulled out a chair for her to sit down and moved to the seat across from her.
"I'm glad to hear that it does. I was afraid that after my first...problems I wouldn't be able to make a dish in time."
Sanguini realized that he hadn't set out any drinks and asked, "What would you like to drink?"

His smile only widened at her words.
"I would love that more than anything."

"I believe you will be excellent, and if you prove me wrong, then we will simply practice more."
The vampire nodded.
"It is no problem, Narcissa."
Sanguini got up out of his chair and waited for her to stand. He kissed her on the cheek with a small smile.
"I look forward to seeing you again soon, my friend."
