RP: Catching Up

Now that his hours were back to normal, Ernie arrived home before Eleanor. As he unlocked and unwarded the house, he realized that he still owed Eleanor a proper date. Perhaps if she felt up to it, they'd go out tonight.
First, however, he needed to take a shower. There had been an unfortunate incident involving an overly excited small child who'd been thrilled to meet a 'real live' Auror and some technicolor vomit. Ernie had scourgified his clothes, but he felt a shower was in order.
He dropped his bag (filled with clean clothes) near the front door and hung up his jacket. In the bedroom, he sat on the bed and unlaced his boots before placing them neatly by the side of the bed. He finished undressing in the bathroom and stepped under the warm spray of the shower.
After a fairly loud rendition of both Levon and Tiny Dancer (both with a fair amount of vague humming when he couldn't recall the words), Ernie shut off the water and reached for a towel. He quickly dried off. And realized that he'd left his bag near the front door. He was tempted to summon it, but there were several sharp turns between him and the bag. Better to just retrieve it. And it wasn't as if Eleanor were home yet. Wrapping the towel around his waist, Ernie opened the bathroom door.
