Gawain Robards was a punctual man, and Minerva was awaiting his arrival with scones and tea ... or scotch, if he'd prefer. But if he were on business, he might not want alcohol.

At a knock, she waved her wand to open the door for him. "Come in, Mr. Robards."

He offered a slight nod at her invitation before entering, looking only briefly from Minerva to glance around the room. "Good evening, Headmistress." Now he focused his attention on the woman, seeking without appearing overly intrusive, above all remaining quite calm.

"I trust that you are well?" Sensible woman that she was, the Headmistress had likely not been overly impacted by the power outage. However, there had been other effects--involving the school, if nothing else--and outside situations certainly existed. He believed the question to be quite fair.

"Quite well. Please, have a seat." She indicated the coffee table where a tray of scones rested: plain, orange and marbled chocolate. "And help yourself. I can offer tea or scotch, depending on whether you are on duty or off." She winked at him.

Gawain smile slightly, briefly, in response. There seemed at least some easiness to the Headmistress' manner; this allowed for some small lessening of his concern.

"Thank you. Tea would be most appreciated." Not that he was technically on duty just now, but it was near enough, and he did make rather a rare practice of drinking alcohol. If she seemed terribly--or perhaps even somewhat--unsettled by his leaving the food untouched, he would perhaps have a scone. Gawain wasn't terribly hungry, or if he was, this was at least in part a matter of business. It seemed best to focus on this.
