The Museum of Wizarding Culture and Art was, at long last, open to the public.

So it was only for a day -- that didn't matter. It was open at last, and Cedric had spent much of Friday afternoon Transfiguring the outside to appear cleaner and more presentable. He'd also purchased balloons from a party shop in Exeter, lining the pavement with them from the street up to the entrance. Now, he stood at the front door, precisely at 10am, anxious and dressed in a suit jacket, waiting to see who might come.

Past an outer foyer, the museum's ground floor was largely open space with six column supports near the middle. Just inside the front door, guests would be greeted by Lucy Diggory's Ragnarök, and beyond that on the right were a handful of the more popular artifacts from the old museum, including a Tang Dynasty gilded bronze dragon that spit fire and stood the height of a man, and a large solid gold Achaemenid Persian lion medalion with strong protective magics. There were also some Egyptian artifacts and French and Italian impressionistic magical art.

Across from these on the left, a table offered hats and badges for sale for a modest donation, and just beyond, information on the library could be found at a table hosted by Blaise Zabini. Across the aisle from the library table was another bearing a model of the museum that constructed itself when a wand was waved over it. There were also brochures and other literature to take. A roped-off aisle lead further into the bowels of the museum to the rear where a lot of paint tins and brushes were ready for the public to take a swipe or three at the walls to either side of the staircase.

Up the staircase, the first floor offered a reception area, overseen by Narcissa Malfoy, with food, drinks and a quiet place to chat. The slightly foreshortened second floor gives a balcony view of the rear wall and the painters below.
