At five minutes of 10 on Wednesday morning, Arabella was almost ready for Caradoc to retrieve her for their trip to Stoatshead Hill. Unfortunately, the weather forecast was for rain in Devon, so she put on her macintosh and added some arch supports to her wellingtons. Then she sat on the sofa and waited.
