"I have found that paperwork is boring in every century, Narcissa."

Sanguini smiled, slightly baring his fangs. He enjoyed Narcissa's companionship dearly, mostly because she seemed to understand him and had a gift of elegant speech that many seemed to lack.

"I haven't been to Diagon Alley in months. We can start there if you believe it would be to our advantage to do so."

"I sincerely doubt that you could ever be undignified, Narcissa."

A soft chuckle left Sanguini's throat as his dark eyes were lit with latent amusement. He stepped out of the way so she could leave her flat and close the door behind her. When she slipped her arm around his waist, a soft smile came to his lips. Forgive her for her familiarity? Of course. He put his arm around her waist as well, preparing himself for the often uncomfortable feeling of Disapparation. His eyes closed involuntarily, but he opened them when they landed solidly in Diagon Alley. Sanguini glanced around curiously.

"Such ruin." He briefly frowned. "Are you aware of when it is supposed to be repaired, or has it been abandoned completely?"

"Oh yes, of course. I know you only have my best interests at heart."

Sanguini kept his smirk to himself and was glad the blood in his body didn't make any attempt to rush to his face when she said that his choice of 'dinnerware' portrayed him in a sense of chaste tastefulness. It had been quite a long time since someone had been in the same league as him, so to speak, and he was having to adapt quickly. Of course he enjoyed it, it was just a bit of a surprise. He should have known not to underestimate this woman, not after word of her reputation had reached his ears through second hand talk and various articles in the newspaper. Sanguini had been so used to mind-numbed humans that he forgot that some of them had as sharp of a tongue that he did.

"You find monogamy to be dull?" Sanguini let only the briefest of smiles come to his lips. "If you need any assistance making your dinnerware all the more exciting, I am tempted to offer my assistance. I do not have magic, but I do have some modicum of experience in certain areas."

Sanguini watched Narcissa arrange the dinnerware with a swish of her wand, watching in polite fascination as she bound everything together and shrunk it down, tucking all of it into her pocket. He couldn't help but return her mischievous smile, knowing that she was gaining as much amusement out of the games they played as he was.

"I have much experience with hunger, Narcissa. Even when my tongue only calls to blood, I have found that I wish for so many other flavors, even those often denied to me."

He couldn't help but keep the wicked smile on his lips.

"Yes, you are correct. I am sure that even without your magic, you would be deviously enchanting."

Sanguini followed Narcissa back into the living room to the door that they had yet to go through.

"I'm sure you will be quite aware when I step beyond temptation, my dear Narcissa."
