After not bothering him for several weeks, Ron's left leg suddenly began to ache again. He'd had trouble with it off and on ever since he'd been struck by a Death Eater's curse during the war. At Christmas, he remembered, he had promised Hermione that he would have a healer or mediwitch look at his leg if he had a lot of pain again. Much as he hated to agree with her right now, the time had finally come.
Ron had never been to the hospital in Stoats, but he remembered passing it a few times as a child during Weasley family visits to the village. It was on the north side, off Epsilon Street, near the edge of the village. He wasn't exactly sure of the location, though, so when he finished work he Apparated to the Five Alarm and started walking north on Epsilon. It was a big building, and he knew he would recognise it from a distance once he got close enough.
He was right; there was no missing the hospital. But it was a longer walk than he had anticipated, and by the time he reached the patient entrance, he was limping badly. Entering the building, he spoke with a blonde woman who used to be the receptionist at St. Mungo's. After describing his symptoms to her, he took a seat in the waiting room, hoping he wouldn't have to wait long. It would be a bit funny, he thought, if either Ginny or Lavender took care of him, but he honestly didn't care; whoever was available would be fine, as long as he got some relief.
