Summary: Felicity can't even pretend that her Saturday job is fun. A handsome customer can make a bit of a difference, though.

"I'll be out the back working on the ice cream." A slight crease appeared in Florean's forehead. "Will you be okay here by yourself?"
Felicity sighed, giving a pronounced roll of her eyes. "Yes, Dad. I'll be fine." The customers were hardly running her off her feet.
"If you need any help at all..."
Why did fathers have to be so protective? She was thirteen! She was perfectly capable of standing behind the counter and taking money from customers when they wanted milk and ice cream and butter. Speaking of ice cream, if he was busy with those noisy stirring spells, perhaps she could treat herself to a small chocolate ice cream cone. After all, she was the owner's daughter and she needed some sort of incentive to smile sweetly at the customers.
"...all you have to do is give me a shout. Okay?"
"Okay, Dad." Felicity gave him a bright grin and, somewhat satisfied, Florean retreated to his work area at the back of the dairy. Checking that he was gone, Felicity slipped her magazine out of one of the counter drawers and began to flip through the pages.
