Mr. Lockhart,
Thank you for the invitation. I don't have any plans for Christmas Eve, so I do believe I'll take you up on this and show up- it would be nice to spend the holiday with others. Is there anything I need to bring, or can do to help?

Thank you for the invitation. I'm not sure that Ben will be able to attend, as he'll be with his mother, Megan, for Christmas, and they might be going to visit her family. I'm not entirely sure. However, if the invitation is still extended to just myself, I'd be glad to attend. And perhaps bring a guest as well.
Sincerely,
Terry Boot

Thank you, but I should rather be hanged.

Oh, don't even joke about that. It's a terrible thing to say. I'd rather not see you hanged. If you're feeling rather down and need someone to talk to, I will always make myself available.
And I do have a Christmas gift for you-- and that dress I promised.
I suppose you could come by any time to pick them up if you like. Unless you'd prefer that I deliver them sometime. Just let me know.
And remember that the world isn't all that bad. Things are getting better, and there are some people out here who do care about you.

I sincerely apologize for my bad behavior. I can't imagine what I was thinking.
If you'd like to stop by and visit your goats, I have a holiday gift for you as well.
Sincerely,
Susan

I'm so relieved that you're not going to hang yourself. Really, you had me worried there.
I'll stop by after I close the shop. I hope it won't be too late if I come by in the evening.
Take care of yourself until then,
Gilderoy
