As far as Fleur was aware, Bill was still upstairs and asleep. It was early morning and she was sitting in the kitchen, serenely silent as she enjoyed the simple pleasure of a hot cup of tea and the peace of being alone with her thoughts.
On the table, a large breakfast and another cup of tea were waiting for Bill. They were under a simple warming charm as Fleur preferred not to wake her husband so close to the full moon - he needed all the rest sleep could offer him, and she didn't want to have to placate him if he woke up grumpy.
Fleur rested her chin in the palm of her hand, and let her mind wander. Her thoughts lingered on Gabrielle again, as they often did. She had tried to convince her sister to come live with her and Bill, but the other witch had refused. Fleur felt a considerable amount of distress at this, but her mind was occupied with ways she could assist her sister without violating the independence Gabrielle obviously treasured.
