I always have fun with the magical details - especially when you consider how our technology has grown in leaps and bounds since JKR first wrote the series in the 1990's. Thanks for reading!

I never thought about this, but wow - the first Harry Potters were published before smartphones and social networks.

You have a small typo: it's "Hear, hear" not "Here, here." :-)
I found myself wondering how much of the next generation's dialogue is inspired by the fact that you are now a teenager's Mom. :-)
But I can't remember when Ginny tried to hex Ron and Harry got in the way. Is that in the books, or did you make it up?
Thank you for this gift to all of us. It's always great to read a StMags story.

I'll change the hear, hears!
Yes, that's the scene in HBP when Harry and Ron run across Dean and Ginny kissing in the secret corridor. Ron admonishes her for kissing and Ginny tries to hex him. Harry gets in between them to stop the fight. Harry now realizes that he wishes he were the one kissing Ginny and not Dean.
A lot of fans hated Ginny for insulting Ron (driving him into the arms of Lavender). I thought it was a great scene in that it showed Ginny and Ron's faults in equal glory (And despite those faults, Harry cared for both of them and didn't want them to fight.).
Ah, young love. :)
Thanks for reading! It's good to see you again.
