Man, I'm sorry people are giving you a hard time about the name. I think it's great. Even though some of my own friends are the dissenters here, I'd say that whole group needs to lighten up.

Thanks! We've all had problems, I don't see why people have to define themselves by them. Some people take life way too seriously -- I think they're missing out on fun stuff :)

A simple example:
If you have a kid who is retarded, then you might not be to keen on hearing folks sing "Let's get retarded in here".

Or if one of your family member committed suicide, leaving you to clean out a bedroom covered in brains and blood once the cops finally leave, you might not feel that fond of something that makes light of suicide.

Or if you've watched several friends battle bulimia, and seen what it does to them, and eventually gotten to help carry a coffin containing an 87lbs body that used to be someone you loved, then things that make fun of this disease might mean something to you.

Thanks for breaking it down. I've had a family member commit suicide, I've had bulimia and a close friend that was anorexic, I used to work with retarded children and I still don't freak out if people use those phrases or terms. Do people think the band Suicide is distasteful? That's just silly. We're not making fun of anything, we're using a phrase for our store, plain and simple.

Most people don't die from bulimia from being underweight, btw.

I guess I (and the other people in on this with me) have thicker skin than others?

I don't find the name distasteful. You can binge on and purge lots of stuff other than food.

I'll have to come check you guys out some time. I love vintage stuff. :)

This is true.

Thanks! I think we have some stuff that is just plain ol' fun to look at.
