One thing that is absolutely AWESOME about Florida is the way one's coworkers desperately try to give away sacks of fresh mangoes the way people in the Midwest give away zucchini.

There's that Garrison Keillor joke about how you should always lock your car doors in the Midwest in the summertime lest someone try to leave you bags of zucchini while you're at church or such. It does seem like it would be more pleasing if there were mangoes involved in such schemes. *g*

That joke is so very true! I have fond memories of my mother dispatching me to play ding-dong-ditch with bags of the things after the neighbors began trying to politely decline.
