Yes, yes, a million times yes about Harry's response to Voldemort being about recovering from being the victim of a crime. All his wondering about whether he is too much like Voldemort, his wondering how much of his rage and darkness is what Voldemort has created in him and how much is his natural and healthy self, his wondering if there was something dark in him that attracted Voldemort to him so his suffering is somehow deserved, his wondering how much responsibility he bears toward Voldemort -- culminating in his realization that he does not have to pick up the suffering baby in King's Cross -- all of this is about exactly what you say.
