In which the Rev. St. John effects a Reconciliation, renews his Acquaintanceship with Cpt. Aquilaine, and discovers the Merits of Honesty and Openness.
You know how much I enjoyed your brilliant story when you "published" it one chapter at the time.
Somehow, I had not seen the edited version until now, and I never saw this reconciliation chapter. I love it. Not only it is hot and always a pleasure to spend more time with these endearing characters, but it is also more satisfying, because indeed, the causes of their quarrel had been numerous. And of course, Marcus would have some after thoughts about St-John's offers.
Thank you for this classic in the Eagle fandom. It was and continues to be a marvelous read!
I remember 100% how much you loved it! And I certainly hope you realize that it's positive comments that get people through writing? Really, 25% of the fun is writing, and the other 75% is hearing that other people are enjoying it.
Glad you loved the extra chapter! feel free to shake Chantefable's hand the next time you run into her online--she basically said NO BB YOU CANNOT END IT LIKE THAT and she was right :D
ps: not that I am bragging about my own writing, I swear, but on my AO3 page there's a porny short story I wrote, in which Muniya is 10 and the Captain gets in trouble. Anyway. IF YOU WANT.
Of course positive comments are important! Mind you, I didn't comment on every chapter, but I commented enthusiastically a few times. Since I'm a bit shy and not always familiar with fandom implicite rules, I don't comment often enough on fics that deserve it. When I have the nerve to do it, it's because it's definitly something special!
And now, you tell me that there is even more special! Well, I'll go hunting for it! Yeah!
(oh, and trying to figure out the fandom rules before commenting? I HATE HAVING TO DO THAT. Drives me frigging nuts. Sorry I'm not part of your in-group, and so on. Me? I'll ALWAYS take a comment <3)
