Welcome to my little community :)

The books I have are

Learn Needle Tatting and Celtic Tatting both are published by Handy Hands, Inc I picked these up at my local Hobby Lobby.

On Shuttle Tatting: The Learn How Book by Coats I picked up at Wal-Mart covers knitting, crochet, tatting, and embroidery.

I have some other really old books I bought off e-bay and some information I scavenged off the internet. My favorite right now is Jen's Tat-ra Sutra.

I still work on small bits myself because I don't have all the details down yet. I had signed up to take a class last year and then in January but they both were canceled :( For adding on thread, I usually tie on at the end of a ring and do the chain over two threads for a bit. Figuring out how to get the threads sewn back in to finish is hardest for me.
