Ok, question? Who's not going to prom? Just me and Noelle? I mean, am I going to end up sitting at home watching Pride and Prejudice by myself and eating chocolate, telling myself I'm having a better time than if I had gone? Somehow I'm now thinking that I'm going to be unhappy if I do go and unhappy if I don't. So it's better to be unhappy without ( Read more... )

Yeah, but it's your senior prom, and somehow that makes it different.

I really don't want to have to buy a dress. Dress shopping can be fun when you're not getting anything, but I hate shopping when I actually need something, and dress shopping is the worst. I always end up settling.

Do you want to watch Pride and Prejudice and eat chocolates with me?

Why junior prom and not senior prom?

Sure! ...If you pay for my plane ticket.

I don't have a senior prom. We get a Jr Prom and a Sr Class Trip (Cruise through the Bahamas, baby!)
Besides, I did 2 proms last year (mine and jae's). I don't need to go to this year's Jr Prom.

And to your above comment about dress shopping: If you dont like dress shopping, design your own dress and have it made. Thats what I did for the dress I wore to my prom (I found the one I wore to Jae's prom at some nifty hippy store on some excursion with my mother) and it turned out PERFECTLY.

Ah, but we do have a senior prom that I am planning on going to next year. I'm just not sure it's worth it this year.

That sounds like even more work and money, and I wouldn't know the first thing about it! You design it for me, and we'll see ;p Prom is, I believe, in two weeks, too (I'd have to get the ticket this week if I wanted to go), so there's not really any time for making a dress and barely any time for shopping for one.

Sounds like it. She said we could still borrow her DVDs, though.

Damn it. I refused to respond to that post because I didn't want to influence her and thought that she ought to make her own decision as I know I'm prejudiced, but, really.

Oh well. We can have a wild party all by our selves.

I think that we need to come up with something fun to do/somewhere fun to go. Plus Pride and Prejudice, of course. (I may hate the book, but I'll watch the movie.)

She seemed to want my blessing, so I just said that I wouldn't want to keep her from doing something she wanted to do. Which is true. I would just rather she wanted to spend the time with me, but then I'm just being greedy.

We will.

Like I said, chocolate. And probably Denny's, because we're boring like that. We could do the dressing up thing, too, just for the heck of it. And play loud music, or something. Better music than they'll have at prom.

The movie has Colin Firth.

I'll go to prom if you'll go.

... I'm sure that I could scrounge around for other sophomore who don't have upperclassmen dates who are taking them, but, somehow - how about not?

And you were going to look for the Ch. 28 one for me. Because this is EATING MY BRAIN ALIVE AND IS TAKING SO MUCH TIME!!!!

Uh, yeah, let's not. Somehow other sophmores just aren't as cool. Besides, I was thinking more along the lines of people I'm friends with.

I'll look now.

With the exception of any of them that can see this (who are all very very cool), yes. The other sophomores aren't. And I knew that you were, but it seems like there aren't any... Kellye is going to go? I know she wasn't sure. Kristin and Jenna and Mary and Laura are, I know... What about Kari? And Janet? Yvette probably isn't (but she's never allowed to spend the night). Umm.

Yeah, Kelly's going.

Let's recruit Kari and Janet! They didn't seem too keen on the 6 hours of Pride and Prejudice thing, though :(

I think Janet talked her into it, or something. Is Janet going too, then?

Who is Colin, anyway?

So, want to watch lots of Pride and Prejudice and possibly go out to Denny's with me and Noelle that night? Or were you going to prom, too?
