So....tonight....A hypnotist came to carthage. Guess who decided to go up there to be one of his "victims". Yep. Yours truly :) It was quite interesting. He put us all to sleep and after that I don't remember too much. But I do remember waking up and going off stage. Next thing you know, my friends are all up in my face saying "you were so

I mean, I'm definitely no expert, but I'm fairly positive it's been proven that one can't be made to do anything while under hypnosis that they would be completely UNwilling to do when they weren't, know what I mean?

I agree with where I thinkyou are on the subject....
I think hypnotism is a fantastic tool for self betterment and if someone chooses to allow there mind to be manipulated for entertainment thats great I would do that because it is good fun....however I do not think it should be the first resort or even the last resort it is so inconsistent its one of those "well lets see what this does for ya" so yeah thats my thought on the subject
much love sounds like you had a good time :)

For me that is a powerful verse that leads me to the conclusion that if i am unable to take every thought captive and make it obedient to Jesus, then something is not right about that. Hypnotism is harmless in the sense that this was a playful act done for the comedy of others. No disputing that. Yet at the same time it is giving someone access to your mind and allowing them to do whatever they want. Maybe the greatest sin in all of Christianity, when it comes to this topic, is the unwillingness to let God and His Word be able to access your mind and shape it, but we'll drop $29.95 to let someone else do that to us.
Something to chew on :)
