Although I've already posted about the spoilers for Green Lantern Corps #42 here, the reality hadn't sunk in until I read CBR's recent interview with Peter Tomasi and forced myself once more to view the ending page.
*nods* Though I think even without picking up the previous issues #42 alone stands as a powerful sendoff for Kyle. There's a sense of finality there that sincerely stunned me; I don't think I've been this shell-shocked since when the Martian Manhunter died.
And yes, Guy does go Red because of Kyle's death. It makes so much sense when we remember that as Kyle was just starting out, Guy was one of the first former Green Lanterns who reached out to mentor him. When most of the superhero community were not ready to see someone replace Hal Jordan, Guy was there to back him up. They were a lot like brothers and it's going to be heartbreaking to see Guy's reaction ;___;
